Quality timbers up for auction

2 November 2007

Held quarterly at the Forest Products Commission’s (FPC) Harvey Mill, our log auctions provide wood enthusiasts a unique opportunity to transform some of Western Australia’s best native timbers into works of art.

The next auction will be held at 10:00am on 10 November 2007, and going under the hammer will be over 400 tonnes of assorted speciality logs, including large individual logs of karri, marri (logs and burls), tuart, jarrah (logs and burls) and sheoak. There will also be quantities of woody pear and peppermint logs.

Sawn timber will include slabs and boards of jarrah, jarrah burl, and blackbutt, sheoak, marri, tuart and peppermint boards. Also on auction will be selected mill equipment including a front end loader, air compressor, and timber drying equipment.

Forest products available in the auction can be inspected at 64 Weir Road, Harvey, during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, or on the day of the auction between 8.00am and 9.30am. To arrange an inspection, please contact Steve Davis on 0427 380 632.
