HARVEST PLANS
|
The FPC takes very seriously its brief to manage the world’s best hardwoods and softwoods in a sustainable way |
As part of our public consultation and community engagement, the the Forest Products Commission releases information each year of the native forest coupes which are planned to be harvested in full or in part during the coming year.
These harvest plans identify areas of native timber forest scheduled for harvesting, to provide sawlog and other timber supply requirements in line with the Forest Management Plan 2004 -2013 (specifically Action 11.3).
Additionally every three years, the FPC also releases an 3-year indictive harvest plan which outlines the same information over the coming three year period.
The information released includes a list of forest coupes and supporting maps to identify where these are located, including operational boundries.
The annual harvest plan for each year does not include coupes that have been carried forward from previous years, that were not harvested due to operational requirments or other reasons.
