The Forest Products Commission (FPC) is the statutory authority and lead government agency for managing the State’s forest resources. We are proud of our role in maximising social, environmental and economic outcomes for the people of Western Australia.
FPC has more than 112,000ha of plantation forests under management. We are also responsible for conducting sustainable management of timber-producing native forests and sandalwood woodlands.
The FPC also oversees the comprehensive framework for regional forest-related industry development.
In addition to the millions of seedlings we grow and plant every year, we also invest heavily in research, development and regional employment opportunities to secure the greatest possible environmental, social and economic returns from timber for the people of Western Australia.
