BLUEGUM

The State Government and private investors have established more than 250,000 hectares of bluegums on hundreds of properties in the south western and southern coastal areas of the State.

These plantations are now being harvested, providing new industry, new employment, and new export income for the ports and towns around Albany and Bunbury.

Forest Products Commission's commercial interest in bluegum plantations is mainly through its tree breeding program and producing seedlings at the Manjimup nursery.
